Professor June Andrews
June is a professor emeritus of dementia studies, with more than thirty years as a registered psychiatric and general nurse and is herself a family carer. She has experience in care homes, hospitals, and the community, most recently volunteering in COVID wards during lockdown. She is nationally recognised for expertise in dementia care. Former director of the Dementia Services Development Centre at the University of Stirling she is currently working internationally in support of families affected by dementia. Author of books and education programmes on dementia care and the adviser to the Dementia Services Development Trust, a low profile but incredibly useful charity that focusses on what is practical and makes a change.
